Roddy McKinnon- Owner, Managing Director

Canterbury born and bred, Roddy is a loyal supporter of our great region. After many years spent in the UK and Canada, Roddy eventually found his way home to be closer to family and friends. He is married to Jane and has two beautiful daughters, Emanuela and Indiana. Roddy enjoys working with his hands and fancies himself as a bit of a lawn buff so is always pottering about aiming for that perfect bit of turf. He loves to dive and camp near the water, unfortunately his young family now dictate that back packing is off the agenda for a while but he loves to get away from it all in the lake district or up to the Sounds whenever possible.

Part of the Alumni of the University of Canterbury, Roddy’s background, education and business experience has given him a commitment to strive for innovation and excellence within CCFS. His goal is to see each family create the individuality they want, while providing a careful watch over every detail will help ensure CCFS is of true service to our community.

Eion McKinnon - Owner

Born in Balclutha and raised in the farmlands of Canterbury, Eion is a father of four (now grown) children. His wife Lois is a registered nurse and homemaker and together they help make CCFS the caring company that it is known for.

Eion has been in Funeral Service for over two decades. He is a registered Funeral Director and an experienced embalmer. He is a former member of the FSTT (Funeral Services Training Trust) and currently serves on the Executive of the FDANZ (Funeral Directors Association of NZ Inc). Eion is proud to be a Rotarian serving Humanitarian interests.
