Whilst providing up to date facilities with modern amenities, J R Croft Ltd's purpose built premises retain a warm ambience associated with a traditional funeral home. For those who choose to celebrate a life in the Chapel, wood panelling and comfortable seating in addition to air conditioning provides a peaceful, relaxed environment. The adjoining lounge is deliberately set out in a light airy form promoting a definite transition from the funeral service to the refreshments afterwards. The premises are located centrally in Lower Hutt, close to public transport with on site parking available.
The company prides itself on allowing families to build their own service type. The staff will not tell the family what will happen, but rather ascertain and provide for particular personal requirements. Staff work closely with clergy and celebrants alike to meet particular needs. J R Croft Ltd stocks (or can acquire) a variety of casket types, from solid timber to very basic or unusual. Photo service sheets can be custom made if required. Further choice is provided in the two company hearses; a Rolls Royce or Falcon.
J R Croft puts a great deal of emphasis on employing personable, qualified staff. The company has a long history of providing professional training for new entrants into the funeral industry as well as providing on going training for all existing staff. Many of J R Croft Ltd's present and past staff have achieved top student awards over the years.
