Lakes District Funeral Services
Lakes District Funeral Services Ltd is locally owned and operated by Russell and Ruth McGrouther since 1986. We cover the Queenstown, Wanaka and surrounding areas.
Burials can be arranged in any of the local cemeteries within the Queenstown Lakes District Council Area or further afield if required and the nearest Crematorium is at Alexandra.
We are based at 1076 Frankton Road, Queenstown where we have full Funeral and Chapel (seating for 130) and Catering Facilities. Our catering staff can provide their services on site or at a venue of your choice.
Whilst Christchurch is our nearest International Airport Queenstown has a Trans Tasman Airport. For repatriations we are able to commence all arrangements from Queenstown Airport which is 5 minutes away from our premises. We are well acquainted and experienced in overseas repatriations and handle several cases annually.
We also have full Airport Facilities for Air Transfers within New Zealand.
Russell is an experienced Funeral Director and is assisted ably by his wife Ruth to provide the services that you may require
