Vospers Funeral Home
Vospers Funeral Home
Our Company
Vospers Funeral Home was established by the Vosper family in 1933, moving to its present location in central New Plymouth in 1954. Today our premises include a comfortable chapel with seating for over 130 people, a fully equipped reception lounge adjoining our chapel, ample car parking, casket display lounges where family can select the casket, and private viewing areas where family can say their final farewell.
Our Services
We see our role as assisting people through the whole funeral process. From offering the option of prearranging or prepaying the funeral long before it is needed, to assisting at the time of death to provide a funeral service that is appropriate and meaningful.
Being Griefcare accredited is our assurance to you of ethical, caring and professional service. This means that Vospers can be relied upon to arrange all aspects of a funeral taking into account the ethnic origin and spiritual beliefs of the deceased and the wishes of the family. We can provide a full range of options and are willing to make special arrangements to meet your personal requirements.
Our staff provide personal service 24 hours a day every day to all districts and we have both male and female funeral directors available. We have qualified staff to ensure you receive the best possible service at all times.
After the funeral is over we offer ongoing support with legal and financial assistance, as well as providing our unique Bereavement Support Service to help families through the difficult times.
Arranging a Funeral.
When arranging a funeral, one of our funeral directors would discuss all aspects of the funeral with your family, ensuring that the final outcome is a funeral that is personal and meaningful to the family. We will take care of all necessary arrangements for the venue of the service, and insert newspaper notices in the papers of your choice. We will also arrange for flowers for the casket, print personalised service sheets to your requirements, and arrange for catering if you wish.
Prearrangement and Prepayment.
Many people make the decision to plan their funeral in advance. They want to ensure that their wishes will be carried out at their funeral service and to spare their family unnecessary worry about funeral arrangements. Increasingly many people want to pay for their funeral in advance, at today's prices, to reduce the effects of inflation. In doing so they remove any financial burden from their family and help with protection from asset testing.
The FDANZ Family Bereavement Plan provided by Vospers is the only plan endorsed by the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand.
- It helps protect your assets because it is not assessed as an asset for long term residential care.
- It guards against inflation because the interest on your investment helps to offset increased costs.
- You make the choices to get the funeral you want, and if circumstances change you can still change the details.
